ABOUT EDGAR PANGBORN
An American author of mystery, science fiction, and historical fiction, he most famously wrote Tales of a Darkening World: The Davy series. His other works include Good Neighbors and Other Strangers (1972) and Wilderness of Spring (1958).
He briefly attended the New England Conservatory of Music and later worked on a farm in Maine for three years.
He took up oil painting in the 1960s.
His parents were Harry Levi Pangborn and Georgia Wood Pangborn. He was born in New York City.
He and Myles Mace both attended Harvard University.
