Model and socialite who became famous for her appearance in the 1975 documentary Grey Gardens. She was known for her signature headscarves, worn as a result of alopecia totalis, which she contracted in her 30's.

She was a Macy's model in New York as a child.

At age 60, she tried to start a career in cabaret and performed despite bad reviews and having recently had cataract surgery.

She was a cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis , wife of U.S. President John F. Kennedy .

She was portrayed by Drew Barrymore in the Emmy-winning 2009 HBO movie Grey Gardens.
