He grew up a dancer and moved to LA when he was 17 to pursue his music career.
He started making his own music when he was 18.
He was born and raised in Berkeley, California by a single mother. He has a younger sister named Jeriyah.
He met good friends and pop singer Kehlani in musical theater when he was 12.
