ABOUT EGLE SPOKAITE
Lithuanian ballet dancer who was prima ballerina of the Lithuanian National Opera and ballet theater.
She graduated from the Vilnius School of Ballet. Later she became soloist of the Lithuanian National Opera and ballet theater.
She won the Lithuanian National Prize, among other awards and honors.
She married photographer and scientist Dainius Macikenas.
She and Maria Tallchief were both famous ballerinas.
