ABOUT ELEANOR AUDLEY

Voice and physical model for two of Disney's greatest villainesses: the wicked stepmother in Cinderella and the evil fairy Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty.

She was a busy radio actress in the 1940s and 50s, with shows including My Favorite Husband and Father Knows Best.

She also provided the voice of Madame Leota for the Haunted Mansion attractions in Disneyland and Disneyworld, greeting visitors with "Rap on a table. It's time to respond. Send us a message from somewhere beyond!"

She was born in New York City.

She also appeared in front of the cameras on a number of shows, most notably as Eunice Douglas on Green Acres with Tom Lester .
