ABOUT ELKAN BAGGOTT

Centre-back who kicked off his professional soccer career with Ipswich Town. He was loaned to Gillingham in the year 2022 and Cheltenham Town in 2023. At the international level, he represented Indonesia in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020.

He attended the British School Jakarta. He learned to play football at the Soccer School Jakarta and was appointed as captain for his British International School squad. The family would eventually settle in the U.K.

He was the first Indonesian player to compete in an English professional soccer league. He shares highlights from his soccer career on his elkanbaggott Instagram account, where he has gained upwards of 2.2 million followers.

His full name is Elkan William Tio Baggott. He was born to an English father and an Indonesian mother.

Richard Keogh has also played for Ipswich Town.
