ABOUT EMIL WAKIM
Comedian, entertainer, artist, performer, writer, and actor who is known for his comedic routines and for being the first Lebanese-American cast member of Saturday Night Live. Wakim was selected as a New Face of Comedy at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
He had an interest in comedy and entertainment from a young age. He began doing standup routines for small venues. He moved to New York City to pursue standup as a full-time career. He made his first television appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in 2022.
He is a dog owner. He is a fan of the Chicago Bulls. He is the second male Middle-Eastern cast member to join Saturday Night Live. He has opened for comedians such as Roy Wood Jr., Kyle Kinane, Nikki Glaser, Hasan Minhaj and Neal Brennan.
He was born and raised in Chicago. His father is a Lebanese immigrant.
