Italian clothing designer known for his kaleidoscopic colors and geometric prints.

He studied at the University of Georgia before continuing his education on a skiing scholarship at Oregon's Reed College.

He once had a career as a politician and served during the 1960s as an Italian Liberal Party representative to the Chamber of Deputies.

He had one daughter, Laudomia, who also worked as a clothing designer.

He was initially a staunch supporter of Benito Mussolini 's Fascist regime.
