ABOUT EMILY GARTHWAITE

British award-winning photojournalist who has been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. She is a Leica Ambassador and a storyteller focused on environmental and humanitarian stories.

She received her master's degree in documentary photography and photojournalism from the University of Westminster.

In 2017, she started her trek of over 750 km through Iraq photographing its land and people. She posts her portraits, landscape photography, and pictures of herself on her emilygarthwaite Instagram where she has over 140,000 followers.

Her family is from Surrey in the UK.

She is inspired by photographer Norman Parkinson .
