ABOUT EMILY PERRY
Stage and screen actress, dancer, and singer remembered for her role as Madge Allsop in the 1980s television series The Dame Edna Experience. She also appeared in touring theater productions of The Desert Song, The Belle of New York, and The Student Prince.
She made her stage debut at the age of four in a Theatre Royal, Birmingham production.
During the World War II years, she was a touring performer with the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA).
She was born in Devon, England to an accountant father. She died in London, just four months shy of her 101st birthday.
She and fellow British actor Richard Lumsden both appeared on episodes of the popular BBC1 situation comedy Last of the Summer Wine.
