ABOUT NICK DUMONT

Actor known for playing Melanie Segal in the ABC Family series Bunheads and Polaris in the FOX series The Gifted . They also appeared in the 2021 film Licorice Pizza .

They began practicing ballet at age three, and joined community theater programs in the Seattle area.

They were part of the FIRST Robotics team, an engineering organization sponsored by Walt Disney Imagineering; they took part in the FIRST Tech Challenge. In 2014, they played Zinnia in the Oscar-nominated film Inherent Vice, which was based off the novel by Thomas Pynchon .

They were born in Seattle, Washington. They have a dog named Zoe. In December 2024 they came out as transmasculine nonbinary.

Sutton Foster starred alongside her on the series Bunheads.
