ABOUT EMMETT SHEAR

Internet investor and entrepreneur who is widely recognized for being a co-founder of the live streaming platform Justin.tv, which later became Twitch. He served as the CEO of Twitch until early 2023.

He obtained a degree in computer science from Yale University prior to beginning his career as an entrepreneur and businessman.

During his youth, he enjoyed playing card games such as Magic: The Gathering. He served as the interim CEO of the company OpenAI for four days in November of 2023.  As CEO of OpenAI, he was heavily involved in the bringing back of Sam Altman .

He was born in the United States.

He co-founded Justin.tv with Justin Kan .
