ABOUT ERIC CHENG

Photographer and producer specializing in virtual reality, underwater photography and aerial imaging. He became well-known as Head of Immersive Media at Facebook Reality Labs.

He received his B.S. and M.S. in computer science from Stanford University .

He is a marine conservationist. He served on the Board of Directors of Shark Savers and on the Board of Advisors of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

His parents were Taiwanese immigrants.

In 2016, he appeared in the Australian television series Tales by Light. It also featured Art Wolfe and Stephen Dupont.
