ABOUT ERIC GROSS
Austrian composer and pianist best remembered for orchestral compositions like Na Shledanou v Praze. He was also a teacher at the University of Sydney.
He began working professionally as a pianist at age fourteen.
He was declared the City of Canada Bay Cultural and Artistic Citizen of the Year on Australia Day in 2006.
He and his wife Pamela died less than a week apart from each other, with Pamela passing first.
His composition Pacem in Terris was based on the encyclical by Pope John XXIII .
