ABOUT ERIK KARLSSON

Swedish defender who earned the prestigious James Norris Memorial Trophy for the league's top defenseman in 2012, 2015 and 2023 as a member of the Ottawa Senators. He joined the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2023.

He played three seasons with Sweden's J20 SuperElit league from 2006 to 2008.

He was named to his first NHL All-Star team in 2011.
