He studied Journalism at the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo.
In 2017, he became a reporter at the Sunday evening news and entertainment show Fantástico.
He married television journalist Sandra Annenberg. They have three children.
In 1980, he covered the first visit of Pope John Paul II to Brazil.
