She joined her first band, Easy Street, at age eleven. She was also a member of the project Method Actor.
She made seven appearances on the UK charts after her death, with "What a Wonderful World" reaching #1. Her song "Fields of Gold" has garnered more than 80 million streams on Spotify.
She had three siblings.
She was the fifth top-selling female soul and jazz musician, behind Norah Jones and three others, on Amazon's 2005 list.
