ABOUT EVIN AHMAD
Kurdish-Swedish actress who has gained international recognition for her roles in the Netflix series Quicksand and The Rain . She began her acting career in 2007 with roles in various Swedish short films. Her first major television role came in 2013 when she portrayed Athena Rasti in the comedy series 112 Aina.
She attended the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts.
She speaks the Kurdish Sorani and Kurmanji dialects as well as Swedish. She posts photos of herself on her evinahmad Instagram account.
Her parents are both of Kurdish descent. Her father is an actor from Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
She shared the screen with Alba August and Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen on The Rain.
