World music singer from Kunduz, Afghanistan, who has earned a large fan base after he appeared on The Afghan Star, a singing competition, and placed fourth. He released his first album Sim e Khaardar in 2010.
He has moved to Hamburg, Germany in 2012, where he began university.
He has received awards and acclaim in India, Germany, Turkey, and The United States.
His father is Ustad Hamidullah Hamid and his mother are both teachers. He has a younger brother Fazilat.
Ahmad Zahir is also a world music singer and Afghan music icon.
