ABOUT FLIP VAN DER MERWE
South African lock who played for the Blue Bulls, Free State Cheetahs, and Springboks.
He was first recruited by the Blue Bulls in 2009.
He was selected to play with the Springboks, the South African national team, in 2010.
His father, Flippie, also played international rugby.
He and CJ Stander both played for the Blue Bulls.
