ABOUT JAVIER ORTEGA SMITH

Argentine lawyer and politician who is best recognized for having served as Secretary General for the Spanish political party Vox. He is also known for having served as a Member of the Congress of Deputies beginning in May of 2019.

He studied Law at the Complutense University of Madrid and also earned a degree from the University of Alcala. He then served within the Special Operations Group in the Spanish Army. He entered into politics in 1994 when he ran in the European Parliament Elections as a candidate of the Foro-CDS coalition.

He is also known for having worked and served as a spokesperson for the DENAES Foundation.

He was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. He is the son of a Spanish father and Argentine mother and thus hold dual citizenship.

He is known for having the second most prominent party position within the Vox party beneath it's President Santiago Abascal .
