ABOUT FRANKIE CROCKER
Former radio disc jockey that was dubbed Hollywood by his cohorts for his innate ability to market and brand himself. He was also known as Chief Rocker.
He got his start at AM WUFO, a local Soul station broadcasted out of Buffalo.
In 2005, he was selected for inclusion into the New York State Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
He died of pancreatic cancer in October 2000. He was not married and kept the illness a secret from everyone, including his mother.
Both he and former DJ Rick Dees found success on the radio.
