ABOUT FRANNY BEECHER

Lead guitarist for Billy Graham & His Comets from 1954 to 1962.

He started with Bill Haley as a session musician, and much later joined the band permanently.

He composed "Blue Comet Blues," "Goofin' Around," "Week End," and "Shaky."

He grew up in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

He joined the Benny Goodman Orchestra in 1948, staying there for more than six years.
