One of England's most famed players, he competed in first class matches in five different decades.
He was a standout player as a youngster, and got a trial at Lord's when he was 16.
He played internationally for England from 1955-1975.
He had three children with two wives: his first wife, Jean Titmus, and his wife until his death, Stephanie Titmus.
He is one of a handful all-around first-class cricketers to achieve the English season double at least five times, joining stars such as Trevor Bailey .
