Midfielder who began his career with Willem II before appearing with Ajax for 10 appearances. In 2016, he began his longest-running professional tenure as a member of Jong Ajax. In 2019, he'd join Barcelona .

He began playing with the Netherlands under-15 national team in 2012. He continued to play with the under-18, under-19 and under-21 squads as well.

He was named Jupiler League Talent of the Season in 2016-2017.

He was born in Arkel, Netherlands. He has a younger brother, Youri. He began dating Mikky Kiemeney in high school. They got engaged in late 2022. In July 2023, they revealed they were expecting their first child together. In November 2023, they welcomed their first child, a son named Miles. They married in 2024.

He played on the same Jong Ajax squad as Ezra Walian .
