Midfielder who made his professional debut in 1979 for Crewe Alexandra then signed with Port Vale, where he played from 1981-1987.

He played youth soccer for Manchester United.

From 1987-1991, he played for Wrexham.

He was born in Kingston upon Hull, England.

He competed against forward and attacking midfielder Keith Houchen .
