ABOUT GEOFF PULLAR
Former left-handed batsman for England, Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1960, known as a particularly skilled and crowd-pleasing batsman.
He was named Young Cricketer of the Year in 1959 by the Cricket Writers' Association coming out of Werneth Cricket Club.
He also won a cap for England in table tennis.
His parents' moved to Oldham in 1953 was the catalyst for his passion for cricket.
He and David Gower were both named as one of Wisden's Cricketers of the Year while playing for England.
