MLB infielder who played 20 seasons and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998.

He began his career as a center fielder before coaches noticed his exceptional throwing arm and moved him to third base.

He became the first player in baseball history to hit a triple and a home run in the same inning.

He was married to Jane Davis.

He hit 163 triples during his career, the same amount as Hall of Fame first baseman Lou Gehrig .
