ABOUT GEORGE KING
American professional basketball player and collegiate coach of West Virginia and Purdue. He won an NBA championship with the Syracuse Nationals in 1955.
He studied at the University of Charleston and led his team to four NCAA championship tournaments.
He was twice named West Virginia's Amateur Athlete of the Year.
He married Jeanne G. King and they had five children together.
He and Johnny Green both played basketball for the Cincinnati Royals.
