ABOUT GEORGE LUZ
American war hero who was a non-commissioned officer during World War II and was active in the Battle of Normandy, Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded multiple honors including the Bronze Star.
He dropped out of high school when he was in his junior year and enlisted in August 1942 at Providence, Rhode Island.
He worked as a maintenance consultant after serving in the war.
He married and had a son.
Rick Gomez portrayed him on the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
