ABOUT GEORGE R. MANN

Designed the Arkansas State Capitol; the leading architect in the state from 1900 until 1930. Several of his structures would be included in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

He studied architecture at MIT. He later opened a partnership with Eugene Howard Stern called Mann & Stern.

He designed many Little Rock landmark buildings, including the Southern Trust Building and the State Bank Building.

His father was a soldier who was killed in the Civil War.

He was born in the same state as President Bill Clinton .
