ABOUT GEORGE SORIANO
Right-handed pitcher that was first signed by the Miami Marlins as an international prospect in 2015. A few years later, he was named one of the Marlins' top 100 MLB prospects following the 2022 minor league season. In November of 2022, the Marlins selected his contract from the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Marlins rookie affiliate team. He was later sent to the GCL Marlins.
He recorded a new career-high in relief appearances during the 2022 minor league season. In 40 games, he logged a 2.72 earned run average with 85 strikeouts.
He is a native of the San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic area.
He shares a March 24th birthday with Peyton Manning and Chris Bosh .
