George William Houghton

ABOUT GEORGE WILLIAM HOUGHTON

British cartoonist and sports writer. He is particularly remembered for his humorous "Golf Addict" book series.

He served as an officer in the Royal Air Force during World War II.

He and Scottish golfer Jessie Valentine co-wrote a golf instructional manual entitled Better Golf - Definitely!

He was born in Perth, Scotland.

Legendary comedian Bob Hope provided an introduction to one of Houghton's cartoon books, Addict in Bunkerland.
