French sculptor and painter known as Le Nabi sculpteur, or the sculptor of the group. He made the carved wood piece L'Existence.
He trained at the Académie Julian with the impressionists Alfred Roll and Henri Gervex.
He was a member of the artist group Le Nabi.
He was born to a distinguished family in Versailles.
He and Antonin Mercie are both sculptors from France.
