ABOUT GERARDO CARRILLO

Professional pitcher that was first signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an international free agent in 2016. He was later acquired by the Washington Nationals in 2021. He was named one of the Nationals' top 25 MLB prospects in 2022. He was originally signed by the Dodgers as a 17-year-old from the Toros de Tijuana baseball team in the Mexican League.

After signing with the Dodgers, he began his career with the DSL Dodgers rookie affiliate team. He pitched in 14 games with the club before being promoted.

During the 2022 regular season, he was named the 14th-best MLB prospect in the Nationals farm system. He posts baseball clips and content on his gerardocbal Twitter account.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Guadalajara, Mexico.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Trea Turner and Max Scherzer .
