Uruguayan professional soccer player who has gained fame as an attacking midfielder for teams like the Brazilian club Flamengo and the Uruguay national team. He made his senior debut for Uruguay in a 2014 friendly match against South Korea. He joined Flamengo in 2019 in what was up to that point the most expensive transfer in the history of Brazilian soccer.

He spent his youth career as a member of Defensor Sporting.
