Notable for her childhood role as Emily Montgomery in the Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart, she also made early career appearances in the television movies A Cookie Cutter Christmas and Watch Your Back.
She acted in her first TV commercial when she was just three years old. She was homeschooled as a youth.
She appears in a season one episode of the television series The Man in the High Castle . One of her longest-running roles came on the animated series Dorg Van Dango, in which she appeared in over 40 episodes. She also did a voice for the film Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, she is the younger sibling of fellow child actor Valin Shinyei .
She was cast as the younger version of Abigail Breslin 's character in the 2015 thriller Final Girl.
