He started shooting as a hobby while growing up. He used to be a nightlife photographer, and it introduced him to the music industry.

He worked with Odd Future before the band gained fame.

His dad is Mark Brannanm and he has a sister named Jamie. He began dating his girlfriend, Jamie Burwood, in 2012.
