He made his acting debut on the TV series Xiaolin Showdown.

He played the role of Boris on an animated series called Brandy & Mr. Whiskers.

He settled in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley with his wife Melissa and his two children.

He and Mae Whitman both appeared in Avatar: The Last Airbender; he played the voice of Uncle Iroh.
