He studied at UCLA as part of their screenwriting program, and sold his script for Highlander while still a student.
He once worked as firefighter before becoming a screenwriter.
He grew up in Mission Viejo, CA.
He wrote and directed the thriller The Prophecy, which starred Christopher Walken .
