ABOUT GUSTAVO CAMPERO

Switch-hitting outfielder that was initially signed by the New York Yankees as an international free agent in 2016. He was eventually acquired by the Los Angeles Angels in December 2020. A few years later, he was named one of the Angels top 100 MLB prospects. He was also a member of the Colombian men's national team during the World Baseball Classic.

He first began his professional baseball career with the DSL Yankees rookie affiliate team. At the time, he played the position of catcher.

He made his official major league debut while playing against the Houston Astros on September 15, 2024. Unfortunately, he loss his debut by a score of 6-4.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Colombia.

He played alongside Jorge Alfaro as a member of the Colombian men's national team during the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
