ABOUT HALEY HEYNDERICKX
American singer-songwriter who rose to fame on the back of her 2016 debut EP, Fish Eyes. She released her debut full-length album, I Need to Start a Garden, in 2018. The album was well-received by critics at NPR Music, Uproxx, AllMusic, and Pitchfork.
She learned to sing at church.
Her song "No Face" was inspired by Hayao Miyazaki 's 2001 animated film Spirited Away . Stereogum named her an "Artist to Watch" in 2018.
She was born to a Filipino-American family.
Her fingerstyle guitar technique is inspired by the likes of Leo Kottke and John Fahey .
