Former professional striker that was originally signed by the 1860 Munich Football Club in 1961. During his professional club career he played in Germany and Austria. He was given the opportunity to play for the West German men's national team in 1965 and 1969.

He first began his professional career in 1961.

He scored exactly 50 goals during his 14-year club career. He also played in 258 club games during his career.

He was born and raised in Munich, Germany.

He is a native of Munich just like Philipp Lahm .
