ABOUT HANS RIEGEL

Owner of the Haribo candy company. He was elected as the first president of the German badminton association after winning the men's doubles at the German championships in 1953.

He began running the operations of Haribo in 1946.

The name of his candy manufacturing is derived from the first two letters of his name and the town where he's from.

He was born in Bonn, Germany. He was the oldest son of Hans Riegel Sr., the founder of Haribo.

He shares a birthday with American actress Sharon Stone .
