ABOUT HANSI FLICK
Former professional midfielder most notable for his five-year stint with Bayern Munich , where he played in over 100 matches. He primarily played in Germany during his 18-year career. In May 2024 he became the head coach of FC Barcelona.
He first began playing soccer as a young child. He eventually joined the BSC Mückenloch youth squad in 1971 at the age of five.
He won four Bundesliga titles during his playing career with Bayern. He also won the 1987 European Cup Final.
He grew up living with his family in Heidelberg, West Germany. He is now a husband, father, and grandfather.
He coached Manuel Neuer during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
