Harry Atmore

ABOUT HARRY ATMORE

New Zealand politician who served as an Independent member of Parliament for thirty years.

He served on the Nelson, New Zealand City Council and later also served on its local college's Council of Governors.

Before his foray into politics, he worked as a sign writer and as a decorator.

He was married to Dorothy Anne Corrigan.

Along with politicians like Winston Churchill , he received the 1935 King George V Silver Jubilee medal.
