Japanese actor and stuntman who gained fame for playing Godzilla in 12 consecutive films, including the original Godzilla. He passed away on August 7, 2017 at the age of 88.
He studied at the International Motion Picture Acting School.
He spent a week studying the movements of elephants and bears at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo to prepare for his role in 1954's Godzilla.
