ABOUT HARVEY HADDIX

Pitcher nicknamed "The Kitten" who won the 1960 World Series as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He made three straight All-Star games as well as three straight Gold Glove Awards during his illustrious career.

He made his MLB debut with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1952.

In a May 1959 game against the Milwaukee Braves, he set a major league record for most consecutive batters retired in a single game with 36. Amazingly, he and the Pirates still lost the game.

He had children named Teri, Ann and Harvey.

He was teammates with Roberto Clemente on the Pirates team which won the 1960 World Series.
