ABOUT HATCHER HUGHES
Won the Pulitzer Prize for his play Hell-Bent Fer Heaven in 1924.
He received both his undergraduate degree and master's degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He worked at Columbia University beginning in 1912.
He had a daughter with his wife Janet Cool, who he married in 1930.
He won the Pulitzer Prize in Drama like Thornton Wilder .
