Professional pitcher that was drafted by the San Francisco Giants during the fifth round of the 2010 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the New York Mets via waivers in August 2021. He was a member of the 2018 World Series-winning Giants team.

He began his professional career playing for the Giants' rookie affiliate team the AZL Giants.

He made his major league debut pitching against the San Diego Padres on September 3, 2013.

He lives with his wife, Maci, and their two daughters.

He was once packaged in a trade that involved Nick Pivetta .
